Dragnea added that the law on ceilings will be amended in Friday's plenary to modify the deficit and that the difference between its amendment and that proposed by PNL for raising child allowances is just the source of funding.
Initially, on Thursday, Parliament adopted an amendment by PNL deputy Robert Sighiartău, which stipulates the increase of children's allowance, between 2 and 18, from 84 lei to 150 lei.
The Chamber of Deputies adopted on Wednesday the draft law on the approval of the ceilings of certain indicators specified in the fiscal-budgetary framework for 2019. According to the draft law, the nominal ceilings for total expenditure for the general consolidated budget for 2019 are 335,076.8 million lei, of which 102,420.1 million lei represent personnel expenses.
"The ceiling of the general government balance, expressed as a percentage of gross domestic product, is -2.55% in 2019 and -2.10% in 2020. (2) The ceiling for personnel costs of the general government budget, expressed as a percentage of gross domestic product, is 10,0% in 2019 and 9,7% in 2020 ", Article 2 of the draft law provides.
The Senate adopted the bill on February 11, the Chamber of Deputies being the decision-making chamber.
